Boundary noise monitoring, are defined as any unwanted sound and noise from industrial sources, transportation as well as domestic source. The monitoring will detect the level and the source of the noise. According to the “The Planning Guidelines for Environmental Noise Limits and Control”, measurements of noise are needed for (1) assessing the existing noise climate; (2) assessing compliance to noise limits from sources and (3) measure the sound levels of noise source for noise abatement purpose.
